Concrete Repair Systems
Sika’s repair products are engineered for high strength, low shrinkage, and fast turnaround to minimize structural downtime.
- Repair Mortars: A wide range of cementitious and polymer-modified products, including:
- Horizontal: SikaQuick® for rapid-setting, high-traffic patches.
- Vertical & Overhead: SikaTop® and SikaRepair® products designed for non-sag application on walls and ceilings.
- Form & Pour: Specialized mixes for full-depth structural repairs.
- Bonding Agents: Products like Sika Armatec® 110 EpoCem act as both a bonding bridge for new mortars and an anti-corrosion coating for exposed rebar.
- Crack Injection: High-strength epoxies (Sikadur®) and flexible polyurethanes (SikaFix®) to seal and structurally rebond cracked concrete.
Corrosion Management
To extend the lifespan of reinforced concrete, Sika targets the electrochemical process of rusting.
- Corrosion Inhibitors: Sika® FerroGard®-903 is a surface-applied liquid that penetrates deep into concrete to form a protective layer around steel reinforcement.
- Galvanic Anodes: Discrete zinc anodes that provide cathodic protection, preventing "incipient anode" corrosion in areas adjacent to repairs.
Surface Protection & Coatings
Once repaired, the concrete must be protected from future ingress of water, chlorides, and carbon dioxide.
- Water Repellents: Silane and siloxane-based penetrants (Sikagard®) that make the concrete hydrophobic without changing its appearance.
- Protective Coatings: High-build, elastic coatings that bridge future hairline cracks and provide a barrier against aggressive chemicals and UV radiation.
- Traffic Coatings: Waterproofing membranes for pedestrian and vehicular decks that withstand heavy mechanical wear.
