The Core Membrane: MM6125®
The heart of nearly every Hydrotech system is Monolithic Membrane 6125®, a thick, hot-applied, rubberized asphalt.
- Seamless Application: Because it is fluid-applied, it creates a continuous, monolithic bond to the substrate, eliminating the seams that are common failure points in sheet-applied systems.
- Longevity: It is engineered to last the life of the structure, frequently used in "blind-side" or buried applications where future access is difficult.
- Recycled Content: The formulation typically includes 40% post-consumer recycled content, contributing to LEED certification and sustainable building goals.
The Garden Roof® Assembly
Hydrotech is a pioneer in North American green roofing, providing everything from the waterproofing membrane to the soil and plants.
- Performance: These systems manage stormwater, reduce the "urban heat island" effect, and provide additional insulation.
- FM Approved: It was the first green roof assembly to achieve FM Approval for wind uplift and fire resistance.
The Ultimate Assembly®
Designed for high-traffic pedestrian areas, this system is the industry standard for plaza decks and terraces.
- Components: It combines MM6125® waterproofing with rigid insulation and architectural pavers.
- Open-Joint Design: Water flows through the joints of the pavers to the membrane level, where it is efficiently drained away, keeping the walking surface dry and level.
Protected Membrane Roof (PMR)
Also known as an "inverted" roof, this assembly places the moisture-stable insulation on top of the waterproofing membrane.
- Protection: This shield protects the membrane from UV radiation, physical damage, and extreme thermal cycling.
- Maintenance: PMR systems are known for exceptionally low maintenance costs over a 30- to 50-year lifespan.
Specialized Water Management
- Blue Roofs: Designed to temporarily detains stormwater on the rooftop to prevent overwhelming city sewer systems during heavy rain.
- StrucSure®: A heavy-duty assembly designed specifically for split-slab parking decks and vehicular traffic areas.
