Rmax, a Sika company, specializes in high-performance polyisocyanurate (polyiso) insulation. Their product lines are designed to provide the highest R-value per inch, often serving as a combined thermal, air, and water barrier for the entire building envelope.

Wall and Building Envelope Solutions

Rmax wall products are engineered for continuous insulation (ci) to eliminate thermal bridging and meet stringent fire codes like NFPA 285.

  • ECOMAXci® FR: A high-performance solution for exterior walls (Types I-IV) and exposed interior use. It features glass fiber reinforced aluminum foil facers for superior fire performance.
  • Thermasheath®: A versatile, lightweight board with reinforced aluminum foil facers suitable for cavity walls, masonry, and vaulted ceilings.
  • Durasheath®: Designed for the building envelope where a non-glare, inorganic fiberglass mat facer is required.
  • TSX-8510: Specifically designed for exposed interior applications, such as parking garages or glass-front structures, where a clean, fire-tested surface is needed.

Composite Boards

  • ThermaBase-CI™: Polyiso bonded to a nailing surface (typically OSB) for cladding attachment.
  • Thermasheath®-SI: A "4-in-1" structural insulation that provides thermal insulation, a water-resistive barrier, an air barrier, and structural bracing.
